Pl. I — a month in the ledger

What makes it different

Change how you think about money

Not another dashboard. A finance calendar — a daily practice that makes your savings rate go up.

No. 01

Calendar-first

See your income and expenses on a calendar, the way you actually experience your finances.

No. 02

The daily drip

Your pay lands a little every day. Watch what's left after rent and subscriptions arrive on each day of the month — income feels real when you see it accumulate.

No. 03

Savings rate competition

Challenge a friend to save more. Compare savings rates (not dollar amounts) so it's fair no matter what you earn. Accountability without judgment.

No. 04

Net worth tracking

Chart your wealth over time. Track assets and debts, and watch your daily decisions compound into long-term progress.

No. 05

Doesn't feel like finance software

No corporate dashboards, no lectures, no spreadsheet homework. A money tool that feels like the apps you actually want to open.

No. 06

Export anytime

Your data is yours. Export everything whenever you want. No lock-in, no hostage situations, no "please don't leave" modals.

The practice

How it works

Set up your income

Enter how you get paid: salary, hourly, freelance, or all of the above. After-tax only, because that's the money you actually have.

Add recurring costs

Rent, subscriptions, insurance: your fixed monthly burn. Flip one off to see what life costs without it.

Log daily spending

Quick-add expenses as they happen. Tap a day, type an amount, done. Watch your daily rhythm emerge on the calendar.

See your rhythm

Green days, red days. Monthly flow, savings rate, net worth over time. No lectures, just clarity about where you stand.

For people who think visually about money.

The philosophy

Why this exists

The whole point is to increase your monthly savings rate by making you really think about your money.

Manual entry is the feature

Plaid sync is coming to Seraphim because people want it. But the recommended way to use this app is typing every expense yourself.

When you type “$47 for dinner out” with your own hands, you feel it.

That friction is intentional. It's the difference between passively watching a number change and actively understanding where your money goes. Every finance app tries to make tracking effortless. Seraphim keeps it effortful, because that's what changes behavior.

Built for our generation, not off it

Seraphim isn't a fintech company. It's a tool built by people who wanted it for themselves, then decided to share it. The goal is to improve the financial health of our generation, not to suck profit out of people who are already stretched thin.

That's why the recommended plan is the cheap one. And it's why the long-term goal is to one day make Seraphim free for anyone in debt. No guarantees, but that's the direction.

Encrypted at rest

Built to know as little
about you as possible.

Your financial data is encrypted at rest on our servers. On the Manual plan we never ask for your bank at all, so there's simply less of you here to lose.

Sign-in is handled by Clerk and payments by Stripe — and when bank sync ships, Plaid will handle the connection. The most sensitive parts of Seraphim run on infrastructure audited by thousands of security engineers, not code we rolled ourselves. Card numbers and bank credentials never touch our servers.

And whichever plan you're on, you can export everything, anytime.
